The Numbat aka the banded anteater, is a small pouchless insect-eating marsupial native to Australia. It grows to about 29.5-50 cm including its bushy tail. Numbat has a long sticky tongue that allows it to pick up termites, which is its primary diet. An adult numbat needs up to 20K termites daily.
