Hattusa (Hittite Cuneiform: 𒌷𒄩𒀜𒌅ð’Š) was the capital of the Hittite Empire in the late Bronze Age. Its ruins lie near modern BoÄŸazkale, Turkey, within the great loop of the Kızılırmak River.
