The Sogdian Durman Tepe Ossuary (bone box) was produced by this Silk Road merchant society in the 7th-8th century CE. The crowned figures are likely Zoroastrian "beneficent immortals," virtues created by Ahura Mazda to fight evil. Found in Uzbekistan. Museum of Oriental Art, Moscow.
