Huge Banana Republic Try On + SALE! - More Than A Fashion BlogI hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I basically spent the weekend running errands (I went to Costco twice!), eating (Din Tai Fung + my weekly Saturday donut run), and binge watching the last season of House of Cards. C and I also stopped by Ikea because he wants to redo his office. Although we didn’t buy anything, I did get some major nostalgia from going there. Going to Ikea reminds me of my college years because I literally bought everything from Ikea. Does Ikea remind anyone else of their college years? I did a huge Banana Republic try on when I was in Las Vegas a couple of weeks ago but didn’t have time to share it until now. But that’s actually a good thing because now almost everything is on sale! The majority of full price items are now 30% off and sale items are an extra 50% off, plus free shipping and free return shipping with order $50 and over. I’m sharing some pieces that I tried on in store that I loved! Huge Banana Republic Try On Banana Republic has great pieces that can go from work to casual wear. All of the pieces that I tried on can be worn to work or worn casually, so you will get a lot of wear out of them. Also, Banana Republic generally is pretty good quality. The clothes that I’ve bought there tend to last a long time and are pretty timeless. The first piece I tried on was this gorgeous striped top. You can never go wrong with stripes and this one is dressy enough to wear to the office. I’m wearing it with jeans above for a casual look but you can throw a blazer on with some work pants and you have a cute work outfit. I’m wearing the same striped tee with some relaxed pants. You can add some flats or sandals and even a denim jacket for a casual look, or throw on a blazer and pumps for an office outfit. These pants are super cute and flattering and I love how comfy they are. I am wearing an XS in both the top and pants. Wearing the same striped tee and threw on this gorgeous pink jacket. This jacket is excluded from any sale discounts unless you are a Banana Republic card holder. But it’s such a gorgeous piece for spring! You can wear it casually like I am wearing above or with some white jeans, or to the office with pants or a pencil skirt. It would look so cute with a white blouse tucked into a tan pencil skirt. I’m wearing a Petite XS because it does run a little bit big and I like my jackets more on the fitted side. Next I tried on this really cute military jacket. This jacket is so cute and would be great worn with shorts during spring. Next, I tried on this adorable ruffle top. Really comfortable, flattering and feminine. It looks great worn with jeans or you can wear it with some black trousers or tuck it into a pencil skirt for work. Same top and I threw a moto jacket over it. I’m wearing navy and it also comes in a couple other colors as well. It’s so cute and gives a little bit of edge to any outfit. This is another striped sweater (can you tell I like stripes?) that I tried on. This one does run small, so I sized up to a size Small in it (I’m wearing an XS in everything else). This sweater is a great basic that will literally go with everything and I love how it’s fitted but not too fitted. It’s a great preppy basic you can wear with shorts, jeans, skirts, and layered under jackets. Wearing a fun bright yellow rain coat over this striped sweater. Such a fun pop of color on a rainy day! Next I tried on this super cute cami and a wear-with-anything cardigan. I’m wearing a Small in the cardigan because they didn’t have my size, but I would definitely get my regular size XS. The cardigan is great quality and perfect to throw on over anything. Cardigans are one of my most worn items and a longer black cardigan is a must have! The camisole I’m wearing underneath is not see through at all, so you can wear it with skinny jeans and heels for date night, tucked into a pencil skirt for work, or layered under a cardigan and jeans for a casual look. The last two items I tried on was this gorgeous black blouse and plaid skinny pants. This black blouse has sheer chiffon sleeves and is so gorgeous! It’s excluded from any discounts but is still a great piece to pick up. It’s super flattering and looks equally cute worn to work or with jeans. The pants I’m wearing are great work pants or you can pair it with a tee and flats for a casual look. This is the same top above, just worn casual with jeans. It’s super cute and makes any outfit look more polished! I linked a really similar piece that’s on sale below! Which piece is your favorite? XO, Michelle

Cherry Bomb Makeup & Retro Crop Top - The Brock BlogThis post features affiliate links so when you purchase from my links I receive a small commission at no extra cost to you! So happy shopping When I first dyed my hair red YEARS ago I was told to stay away from anything red. I was told that I couldn’t rock red makeup with my red hair because it just wouldn’t look good… and I lived by that. I saw others rocking it but believed that red on red would NEVER look good on me, so I steered clear of it until recently.  Recently I decided to say screw what those people said and take the plunge. I have always been obsessed with red lipstick from the time I was a tiny tot and I recently became obsessed with red eye shadow, thanks to Tash Cosmetics. I decided to prove the naysayers wrong and prove them wrong I did. I received so many complements about this look and was told that I should rock it more often.  This Cherry Bomb makeup look, as I call it, was created with a combination of a few pink blushes, The Devil Wears Prada loose pigment from Tash Cosmetics, and the shade Palace from my Tarte Treasure Chest. Lashes: Mood Vault Sephora Brushes: Mermaid Brushes AmazonLipstick: NARS Don’t StopEye Shadow: Tash Cosmetics The lashes featured in this look are from Sephora and are the Fringe #04 that I received in the Sephora Mood Lash Vault this past Christmas. (Right now the Lash vault, valued at $87, is on sale for $40!!!!) Once I created this look and threw on a super comfy ad stylish crop top sweatshirt from AMIClubwear I was ready to slay the day. I felt confident, I felt fierce, and I felt sexy for the first time in a long time, I felt empowered.  This Cherry Bomb look is definitely my new go to when it comes to being dramatic and being bold!  I love creating makeup looks and love sharing them with you. What colors do you want to see me rock next? Let me know below! If you don’t have a makeup look idea then let me know what makes you feel fierce and empowered below! Related
