simplychristaanne.comGo Wild: Animal Prints ~ Simply Christa Anne This post may contain affiliate links. Please read my disclosure policy for more information. Hi, friends! My toddler greets everyone we encounter by shouting, “HI, FRIEND!” I think it’s adorable, but beyond being adorable, I think it’s such a warm welcome. When I do greet strangers, it’s usually with a brief “Hi.” No exclamation point. If I’m out in the world, it’s probably because I have a list of tasks to accomplish, and I’m not a fan of wasted time and chit chat. You could say I’m goal oriented. I love people and interacting with them, but sometimes I don’t lead with an outgoing greeting. I’m going to take a lesson from my two-year-old and start greeting the world with that level of joy and with open arms. Another lesson I’ve recently learned from my toddler is to embrace all things wild. Like so many kids, my son is obsessed with animals. Every day he declares a new favorite, pretending to be a lion or a puppy or a shark. I love his imaginative play, and I love to see how the animal he chooses affects his attitude. I decided to try the same thing, but in a fashion blogger way. A few weeks ago, I bought a pair of leopard print mules. This was a first for me, but I am always willing to step outside of my comfort zone. (And Nordstrom has a great return policy.) I’ve never been anti-animal print; it’s just something that I never got into. Lately, when I’ve seen an animal print, I’ve thought to myself, “That’s super cute.” So I decided to try something new, and I started where I always do: shoes. I went shopping with the sole purpose of buying a pair of animal print shoes. After lots of stores and lots of try-ons, I settled on these. I wore them that night, paired with a black t-shirt dress and a denim jacket. You know what? I felt fun and flirty and, yup, a little bit wild. And of course, now I’m obsessed with animal prints. Join me on my newest obsession! Here are items that I’ve either purchased or are currently in my shopping cart. (When I go in, I go all in.)
