"Dark Horse" (Katy Perry) Renaissance Madrigal ArrangementText paint a path on over to my Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/jimlapbap Sheet music for sale: https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/title/dark-horse-madrigal-digital-sheet-music/21378037 Like many occasion, I wanted to take a pop song and give it the Renaissance Madrigal treatment everyone* wanted. Like all these arrangements, rules were bent both in the original song with note and harmony changes, and the Madrigal style to still sound like the original song. In terms of appearance, I was aiming for a Renaissance musician but I think I ended up as a Medieval peasant colonist. Oh well. Pitch Correction: I'm a arranger/composer not a performer, so I use Melodyne to make the arrangement sound as best as possible. I see it as a vocal MIDI. If anyone ever wants to sing the melody or harmony parts to this, I always welcome other people to perform my arrangements. Software: Finale for notation. Logic Pro to record and mix. Melodyne for pitch correction, and audio quantization Final Cut for video editing MPEG Streamclip for video conversion for YouTube Hardware: AKG Perception 220 Consender Mic PreSonus FireStudio Mobile (computer audio interface) Original Song Info: "Dark Horse" by Katy Perry (feat.
