Ikea DOCKSTA Table Hack! We've had our DIY dining table for 6 years now so I thought it might be fun to do a different shape to change the feel of the space. I had been drooling over some oval tulip-base dining tables that were big enough to fit 6 people, but I couldn't find one within our price range so I tried to think of how I could DIY it on a budget instead. Painted Star Faux Tile FloorHi friends! Today, I am so excited to share the tutorial for the painted tile floor Collin did for our Apple + Oak office makeover. Turn A Flannel Shirt Into A Dress! We all love a good transformation story (Cinderella becomes belle of the ball, etc.) so this may be the fashion DIY version of that scenario. I love cozy flannel fabrics in the fall season, and this is a great way to upcycle a thrift store find or a hand-me-down from a family member. With just a few tweaks you can take a flannel shirt from a drab oversized top to a fun fall dress and I'll show you how!

Easy Spider Garland DIYI thought I would do some Halloween decorating this year that she would appreciate, so I decided to make one of those spider garlands with some pom poms and pipe cleaners to make our fireplace mantel more festive. This post is sponsored by JOANN, and I could find everything I needed for the mantle in one trip! They had everything I needed for my project plus a lot of cute Halloween decorations (linked at the end!) to add to my mantle.
