Other Lives - We Wait (Official Visualizer)From the new album "For Their Love" available everywhere April 24, 2020. Pre-order now: https://OtherLives.lnk.to/ForTheirLoveID "When I was 15, I formed the All American Rejects. This was my high school band. Always there in our everyday life were Tommy and Jennifer, a member's older sister and brother-in-law. Tommy was the older brother I never had. Kind and wise, he was my mentor and family to me. Tommy was shot and killed at the age of 25, on the morning of 30th November. Jennifer, his wife, had hired his murderer. This event completely devastated and shattered my reality. I quit the Rejects and was very lost. I soon found the piano and started moving towards a deeper place inside, artistically, which has shaped me to this day. For many years, I had avoided this trauma and couldn’t touch the subject. I pushed it out, only for it to haunt me more recently. Writing this song is the way for me to heal and remember my old pal, Tommy." - Jesse Tabish FOLLOW OTHER LIVES Spotify: https://smarturl.it/OtherLivesSpotify Apple Music: https://smarturl.it/OtherLivesAppleMusic Website: https://smarturl.it/OtherLivesWebsite Instagram: https://smarturl.it/OtherLivesInstagram Facebook: https://smarturl.it/OtherLivesFacebook Edited by Oskars Lelis LYRICS Death has come around my mind so often in a sleep. We were dreaming about a winter you won‘t see. And despite the lies that tie a man you held your head so high. You are often on my, always on my mind. The thought keeps buzzin‘ around my head since knowing you were gone. I wondered how I failed to see it coming on. And in my dreams I often think of you, I wonder where you‘ve been. See I don‘t remember all too much since then. And we wait, we wait. Ah we wait for you to rest. Some may call it fate but I just bow my head and run. It was nothing but a hand upon a gun. Now in my dreams I come and sit with you and ask you how you‘ve been. Cause I don‘t remember much as I did then. And we wait, we wait. Ah we wait for you to rest. http://vevo.ly/7z9Ias
