For the note completion questions, you should understand and follow the audio particularly as it won't be repeated the second time you will get to hear the audio only for once. There is no such option of getting score even if you write the wrong spelling. Since the IELTS is an English proficiency test, you should ensure that the spelling is written properly. An other feature is that synonyms will be heard and you should not expect to find the exact words as you see in the question paper. In addition to this, there is something called word instruction. You should find them in the instructions and look at the number of word count that you have to write.
