The crest-tailed mulgara is a small to medium-sized carnivorous marsupial native to arid areas of Australia. It was presumed extinct for more than a century, but was re-discovered in 2017 in a national park and is currently listed as vulnerable. Mulgaras are related to Tasmanian devils and quolls.
