Oakwood Theme Park 2019 WalesWe recently visited Oakwood Theme Park in West Wales with my two young children. The last time I visited Oakwood was 25yrs ago so I was keen to see how it's changed and to take the kids along for the ride. The kids loved the Peter Pan area with smaller rides and the Woodland Rollercoaster and Toboggan ride and going on the paddling boats. There are also plenty of play areas with slides and an indoor soft play area. You can also bring a picnic as there are plenty of places to sit as well as tearooms and catering on site. We enjoyed some doughnuts. Usually I love going on all the big coaster but unfortunately, I was coming down with a nasty chest infection and didn't feel 100% so we kept to the smaller rides - it was good to see there is enough for all ages to do here. Unfortunately, the log flume, which we had been looking forward too was shut due to maintenance which is completely understandable but I would advise checking online before going in case there is something you particularly want to go on. Some ares of the park could do with updating although they are adding rides every couple of years. They also host "after dark" nights which are open later and have fireworks which is really cool. They had some entertainment on the main stage when were there which is a nice extra touch. I am hoping to go back and ride some of the larger rollercoasters soon and it's worth checking out if you're in West Wales. * This was part of an unpaid review. We were provided tickets in exchange for an honest review
